Ideologies about marriage you shouldn’t believe in.
4.) You should test drive the car before you buy it, or milk it first before you buy the whole cow.
Your partner isn’t material. I know we aren’t being literal, but I think it’s a crappy metaphor. I know I live in a generation where we can’t practice enough self discipline and are so run by self-gratification and the lust around us, but it’s a beautiful thing to wait until that person fully becomes yours to have intercourse with them. I didn’t always think like this, prior to becoming a christian man I did quite some dirt. However, now I learned the importance of it. Waiting allows you to truly love the person for who they are, it takes the thing that complicates relationships the most. You don’t have to test drive it before you buy it. You just need to learn everything about it. Then when you put a ring on it, you can put as many miles on as you like and learn what works and doesn’t work together. I am an advocate of peculiarity. We follow the norm too much, be different.
