Yes you can. You will never fully know the person you’re with. They will change and you will have to change with them overtime and learn more about who they are becoming and so forth. Part of the reason why so many people are saying “They changed, I don’t love them anymore.” is because they expect their partner to stay the same and they are only willing to love a version of their partner rather than them as a whole. When you love someone as a whole, as they grow you continue to love them. You change with them and grow with them. You can love a person and truly never know them entirely. Love is a process.
